Just like consumer electronics, there are different levels of professional DJ
Equipment. My equipment is considered to be high level mobile DJ equipment. My
equipment includes brands like Fender, Yorkville, Monster, BBE, and SKB. This
will likely be greek to you if you are not a musician. I have included a more
specific description of my equipment towards the bottom of this page if you
would like to take a look. Clicking on the hyperlink will direct you to a page
with a picture and description of that piece of equipment.
Equipment failure is rare, but I have a complete backup system on hand at every
event for your piece of mind. That backup system is a
Fender
Passport Deluxe 250. The fender passport is a compact, easy to use sytem
that can be set up in less that 15 minutes. This makes it an ideal backup system
for an equipment failure that will hopefully never occur.
While from behind my bood and during my equipment setup, it is easy to tell that
my equipment is complicated and sophisticated, my equipment will appear to the
audience as a black DJ booth and a couple of discretely placed speakers. This
way, my setup won't ruin the look of your wedding.
I realize that you have enough to worry about without the added stress of
helping us by providing a table. I have purchased equipment that will allow
me to perform my services without you providing me with a table. If the
banquet hall sets up a table for me then I will often set my CD wallets on
that table.
I do not bring signs to events or announce my
DJ
service. I find that even high quality signs and banners draw attention away
from the event. In addition, I will not lay business cards on your tables.
Guests who are interested in my services are welcome to approach me
personally and I will happily give them a card at their request.
Detailed Equipment Description
A
Numark CDN25 plays
my music CDs. For my digital library, a program called
DJ Power plays my digital library using
through my Dell Inspiron 1150 equipped with a
Echo
Indigo DJ card and
DJ Power to play from my digital
library. A
Numark
200FX mixes the inputs from my microphones, CD players, and computer.
From the mixer, my sound is fed into a
Bose PS1 Power Stand which acts as an amplifier, sound processor, and
equalizer. The
PS1 Power Stand powers and sends the sound signal to the
L1 Cylindrical Radiator and two
B1 Bass Modules. These contain over 24 individual speakers that fill the
corners of your room with sound without hurting the ears of those guests seated
right in front of the speakers. My
microphones are
Gemini UF-2064. A
Monster Power
2500 power center provides CleanPower to each of the components.
My control center sits atop a
Roto Roller. My CD player
and mixer are mounted in a
Roto Mini Gig Rig. The
Roto Mini Gig Rig is mounted on top of the
Roto Roller. Attached to each side of the
Roto Mini Gig Rig is a
Gig Wing. These work as table space. I also have a songbook or a laptop
computer sitting on one of the
Gig Wings. All of this sits behind a
Grundorf Facade.
