About DJ Style
Being a great wedding DJ requires many of different skills. We must be able to
communicate effectively over the microphone, operate and troubleshoot sound
equipment, keep track of VIPs, quickly make the right decisions when problems
arise and perform a host of other small services in order to make sure everyone,
especially the bride and groom, have a good time.
I began developed my skills in 2000 by working as an assistant to a
well-established DJ who taught me how to run equipment and interact with a
crowd.. I also worked as a party dancer for another valley-based DJ company
before starting my own. I still constantly work on my performance by taking
advantage of performance associations like the
Arizona Chapter of the American Disc Jockey
Association,
intensive DJ training workshops,
DJ conventions and sharing
ideas with other Disc Jockeys.
My focus is on making sure the bride and groom have a relaxed and fun wedding. I
do this by keeping them informed of what is going on and what is coming up. I
always stay calm and I am always working towards making your reception a
successful one. The key to this is planning and preparation. That means that I
maintain communication before your wedding, set up early to make sure everything
starts on time, work throughout the event so that I can be around to help if
something goes wrong, and know what to do if something goes wrong.
